guiding values

Authenticity is of the utmost importance when it comes to family photography. The photos we'll create together will tell a story, and the only story worth telling is the real one. These are the photographs that stand the test of time; the ones that tell future loved ones about their heritage. It's equally important that the images reflect the feelings of the moment and can take you right back to it - so the moment better feel pretty special! When we're planning our session, we'll be planning a fun family day that creates beautiful memories you'll want to look back at again and again.

what I'm looking for

behind the lens

I aim to capture lived moments in your space to create images of your life that tell of who you are to future generations. There's no richer backdrop than your home.

The way you look at your loved ones never goes out of style. That's the focus of our photos. The things that will date your photos will be there, and that's okay. They add to the story!

I want you and your family to feel the love you share in these photos for years to come. I'll offer prompts that help create loving moments so there's no pressure on you.

Our goal is to make a family memory you'll want to look back on and pass down! We can't do that without having a little (or a lot) of fun.

Your comfort with and confidence in me is key. I'll walk you through every step to make sure the process is easy and enjoyable.

Sessions are held at your home, always, unless stated otherwise by me.

Sessions typically take place on Saturday mornings.

I'm a "lifestyle" photographer, which just means I'll offer some prompts to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera and get emotion-filled reactions from you. I won't be staging you in stiff poses, but if you've got your heart set on some photos of everyone smiling at the camera, I'm happy to gather everyone and pose you for a few shots!

After you inquire and we pick a date, we'll set up a time for a phone call. I know it can be a little uncomfortable chatting on the phone with a stranger, but if you've gotten this far and decide to inquire, I think we'll be a good fit and the conversation will flow naturally! It's an important step in the process and cannot be skipped.

We'll communicate primarily through email, so please make sure to provide an email address that is active and is checked regularly.
